Arunoday Midway Home (AMH) was one of the first aftercare therapeutic residential units to be established in India in 1977 to rehabilitate those struggling with drug and alcohol dependency. The Home affirms God’s compassion and love for people with problems and seeks to uphold their dignity and importance as individuals.
The Home began in a single-room cottage in Kolkata and was thereafter moved to its present spacious premises. It was officially inaugurated by the Health Minister of West Bengal, Mr. Nani Bhattacharya, with Mother Teresa as the Guest of Honour.
